Many accounting companies may believe their procedures are strong and they don't need to use budgeting software. As a result, these firms may be missing out on several solutions that can simplify processes. Mobile apps provide a way for accountants to remain productive from anywhere, making it easier for them to complete the work assigned to them by their clients. Below are a few ways some accounting companies are experimenting with mobile apps to realize their true benefits.
Chapman & Burris CPAs
Shayna Chapman, a partner at Chapman & Burris CPAs, shared with AccountingToday how her firm began using a budgeting software solution due to members of the firm wanting to see the firm's data anywhere. The app allows the firm to view client information from their mobile devices with an easy-to-use interface.
According to Chapman, the firm has barely scratched the surface in using all the capabilities of the program. Project management is another service provided by the budgeting tool.
Johnson & Co.
Many accounting firms may simply be wondering how flexible business productivity tools can help them with their customer service. This is why Brad Johnson, the principal for Johnson & Co. began using a mobile solution, which quickly demonstrated how it could help the company add to its client base. Johnson told the website how he was able to bring in a client who would ask him questions during off hours, and through the technology he was able to provide them with answers quickly and efficiently
"I don't use that tool in particular for every client – I'm mostly at my desk with my dual monitors – but when I'm not in my office, this is very valuable," Johnson told the website. "Now I use it on the iPad more, which is easier to read."
